Champagne football continues!

Well after last week’s trek to Hahndorf it was again bumper to bumper football at Cowandilla with our 3 teams playing at home.

The game had just started and we had the Hawks on the back foot within 2 minutes when a delightful well placed cross from our right flank found Mohammad who slotted the ball home.

From then on the lads played a nice game of possession football, not letting Hawks have a sniff of anything near the goals. We constantly put offensive pressure, creating numerous chances throughout the first and second halves. Crossbars and posts were the only factor keeping the score respectful for the Hawks.

The final score was 1-0, which didn’t reflect our total dominance of the game.

Well done to the whole squad which played well as a unit. All players did plenty of work off the ball which ultimately gave us the victory we well deserved.

Keep up the hard work at training lads and the rewards will keep coming our way.
