Match Day 4 – 03/05/2008 – First Team

We started the game off strongly, dominating early possession.
Our first goal was a lovely volley by JC which was struck too firmly for the keeper to grab. It fell in the path of Captain Sparrow who put it away.
FCA’s second goal was a dazzling run from the Sparrow who passed 3 players to finish off in fine style for his second.
Our third goal was a wonder strike from vice captain G.
The game’s second half started brightly with G scoring to make it a double for him.
Budapest then started to gain control of the match. They were awarded a penalty which was calmly slotted home to make it 4-1.
Then Budapest scored a 2nd soon after when the linesman didn’t put his flag up for offside.
Then there was a third…
Finally, in stoppage time the referee gave them another soft penalty which went in after striking the post.
All in all we need to get our act together!

I was at this game. Probably one of the most entertaining games I saw this season and being stuck in between the two side the banter was brilliant… especially with regards to that bloddy horn. I don’t recall thinking either penalty was soft on the day.
