Our shield is a symbol of our history. It represents the heritage of two South Australian Amateur Soccer League clubs that merged in 2003 to create who we are today.
Adelaide Old Boys
Adelaide Old Boys Soccer Club was established in 1992 and played at the second oval of Adelaide High School. The team was made up of members of the Adelaide High Old Scholars Soccer Club (AHOS SC), which was in existence from 1984 to 1987.
Adelaide Olympic Soccer Club
Adelaide Olympic Soccer Club was formed in 1979 under the banner of the Australian Greek University Association (AGUA). The club had many successful years in the amateur league with the first team winning 1 championship and the reserve team winning 6 championships. Adelaide Olympic was one of the founding teams of the Saturday divisions.

The Merger
In 2003 Adelaide Old Boys and Adelaide Olympic merged and pooled their resources together to form a new club. So the Adelaide Soccer Club was formed.

FC Adelaide
With the word soccer being phased out, the club changed its name to FC Adelaide in 2007. A new dedicated committee is in place and the club has a permanent home base at the Western Youth Centre, Cowandilla. The club’s restructure has breathed new life into the team. We have a proud club history and are set to only get stronger.
Club Culture
FC Adelaide welcomes all players to the club. We maintain a social atmosphere throughout the season and are an open and accepting group. FC Adelaide is not tied to any denomination. We are made up of all races and our only religion is football.
